45 Gallon Goldfish Aquarium - Fantails, Red Cap Oranda

My 45 gallon aquarium is about 8 years old. There are 3 fantails, 1 red cap oranda, 1 shubunkin, 1 golden algae eater and 1 cory catfish. The catfish is as old as the tank, which amazes me, since they seem to do better in warmer water! When the fish get too large for the tank, I transfer them to my 1900 gallon pond where they have plenty of room and much more fun, I’m sure I have an algae problem in the tank periodically, so any suggestions would be welcomed. I do monthly water changes and the PH is neutral. Thanks!
