An array of fish in my 29g tank… including pure blond bodied red guppies, bolivian rams, ABN plecos, cories, a albino Oto, and zebra loaches.
This was around 2005, now, in 2008, I still have those rams, cories, and the zebra loaches, and some of the plecos.

i have a tropical aquarium, and i have started with a few fish, guppys, mollys, platies, pepper corys ect: but i have herd that you can keep clown fish in a tropical aquarium from a experienced freind who has kept many fish for many years. And we got into a convosation about how marine fish aremuch more elaborate and attractive and he came to say that i could keep a 1 or 2 clown fish in my aquarium, any ideas people?
No. This is a salt-water fish. If you want the color and flair of salt-water fish in a fresh-water tank, go for African cichlids. Be warned though, these are aggressive fish, and so can only be kept with other African cichlids. Also, they usually require a large tank, (29 gal. and up,) and can't have live plants as they uproot and destroy them.

I have purchase a 125lt tank and want to know what are good combinations of fish to have and how many.
well when you convert the litres into gallons it works out at 33 gallons.
i currently have a 31 gallon tank and this is what i have in my tank its a very good set up and will leave you with some room to add or change to your own taste.
9 Tiger Barbs
6 Serpae Tetras
2 Cherry Barbs
1 Red Tail Shark
1 Clown Pleco
1 Ancistrus
you might want to add a couple of snails or a bristle nose pleco but dont add a common pleco as it will out grow the tank very quickly

Can tropical fish reproduce with out a mate? We have 2 different kinds of fish that each had a mate a couple of months ago but died. : ( Now the females that are left each had babies. Any explanation?
Live bearers mate and then give birth to live babies a month or so later.
Guppys can do even better and the females actually store sperm internally and can produce several spawnings from one mating.
So yes, a female guppy can give birth several months after being with a male.

http://www.n-the-florida-keys.com. Look at all these beautiful little tropical fish. There are millions of them swimming all over the coral reefs of the Florida Keys. I collect tropical fish for my own saltwater aquarium.
