I have 3 little plants in my fish tank. They didn't have that metal thing at the pet store that weighs them down and holds them together so my goldfish keep nibbling on them and pulling them up out of the gravel. Can I put pliable aluminum around my plants?
As long as that aluminum wasn't exposed to any toxins (pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers, etc.), it should be fine. The aluminum itself certainly won't harm the fish, just beware of residue that may be on it.
EDIT: Really? Aluminum doesn't rust! Iron rusts! *sigh* Rust is iron oxide. While aluminum will corrode, producing aluminum oxide, it is also nontoxic. Metals do NOT affect water chemistry in any real way– pure metals are entirely insoluble!!! If you were using metal salts other than aluminum oxide (you aren't) like aluminum nitrate, or copper chloride, there would be real reason for concern, but the rate at which aluminum oxide dissolves into the water is so negligible that there will be ZERO affect!
Pogostemon, Blyxa, Anubia, Echinodorus, etc…

Glow in the dark plants.
Never heard of them.
Where can i get some of those at ?
We have issues with living things. We don't have any children, I can't seem to keep artificial plants looking lively, and we don't have near enough time in our day to provide a pet with adequate love, exercise, or attention. So…. we have a plastic crab magnet on our fridge we named "Pinchy." We say "Hello" to Pinchy from time to time, and if anything in the fridge goes bad, well…. it was obviously Pinchy's fault. =)
We did have a wonderful pet (a goldfish named Goldie Van Sputter) for 17 years, but she recently went to Pet Heaven and we aren't quite ready for a newcomer yet.

Bringing Back the High school Videos. This movie was done my Senior Year at Penn-Trafford High School. It’s about a fish thats lonely and looking for a friend. Sometimes friendship lies in the most unusual places. This piece serves as a metaphorical inspiration for my P2 this year. Look for the fish in my new film! …god willing he won’t croak… : (

I just changed out 3 plants in my fish aquarium.
No it won't harm the fish. You may remove some of the beneficial bacteria which colonized the plants but it shouldn't be enough to really damage your biological filter
My planted tank, this is a Juwel 125 litre tank. Filtration is Eheim 2222 external pump + sponge filtration behind the background. I am adding CO2, homemade with a diffuser. Lighting is an Arcadia T5 controller with 2 38W tubes, daylight and nature. The background is Papillon Amazonas.
Just a video showing my new plant decoration. I will move plants around a bit and prune them once they grow more, I have recently got them from a skilled plant aquarist, and I’ve got pretty good lighting and a basic CO2 kit providing plants with everything they need.
The copper tetras (hasemania nana) are pretty much on fire. The males are trying to knock up the females, so one of them are hiding in the leftmost part as you can see in the video.
The bolivian rams are swimming around happily, eating stuff from the sand when they find something and generally being curious.
My big fascination is obviously South-American fishes, but I do like to vary the plants a bit more than having an exact copy of the fishes home.
Enjoy.

i want to put artifical plants in my fish bowl that has my beta fish. i need to know what kind of plants do i need.
Get plants that have a smooth edge on the leaves of the plant. Sharp edges or edges that have a pine needle effect look to them could harm your bettas' fins as bettas actually like to sit in these plants and when they swim out, their fins can get caught and tear causing some serious medical issues.
A suggestion I would make would be to get a plant close to that of your betta's color. I have a blue betta with a blue plant and he loves it! He is constantly sitting in his plant because he knows that he blends in with it so well. And yes it does make it hard to see him. So that greatly reduces his stress level.
Just a bad quality video of my heavily planted tank.. As soon as I sell off some plants will do a little aquascape..
