The fish I mentioned before is salt water fish ,the seaguar line is for freshwater?

Posted on Sep 11, 2008 under salt water fish | 3 Comments

I need a strong invisible thin fishing line for salt water and my fishing area has rocks and when I catch this fish it will head straight to the rocks and breaks the line

I put this answer on your first question. It’ll apply for saltwater as well. Good luck.

I use Spiderwire braided line in the low-vis green color. It’s very thin, but works really well. It’s not as expensive as some of the other braids either. Since it has no stretch it’s a lot easier to get the fish in faster before it heads to cover. I’ve held onto some monsters on even 10lb braid over rip-rap rocks, and it still didn’t break. If you want even greater invisibility use a Flourocarbon leader on it, I usually use Trilene, but with the green color you will probably be okay without it since it’s so thin.

It’s not likely that you would need 40lb for a 10lb fish when it comes to braided line, 20lb is going to be quite strong enough and is thinner, but if you feel you need 40lb, it will still be a lot less visible than mono and you’ll have better luck.

Good luck. Hope you bring him in.

which salt water fish is easy to take are of?

Posted on Sep 10, 2008 under salt water fish | 6 Comments

I wanna get a salt water aquarium for the first time i want an easy fish to take care of and easy to breed and something that doesnt cost to much any suggestions? thanks

Check out the link below for a few ideas. Most Clownfish are pretty hardy, as well as Damsels, but Damsels are very aggressive, so I wouldn't recommend them unless you are planning an aggressive tank. Gobies are also a hardy species, but the fish I would recommend the most is the Chromis. They are hardy, inexpensive, peaceful, and have great personalities.

how do i set up salt water fish tanks?

Posted on Sep 09, 2008 under salt water fish | 3 Comments

I want to have salt water fish but i dont know how to set up the tank and was wondering how do i and keep them alive

That is far too much info to cover in a single question, after all many, many books have been written on the subject and I would suggest you get at least one good book before you try to start a salt tank. In the mean time here's a link to a site that offers excellent information on everything to do with salt tanks including set up of fish only tanks all the way to a full reef tank.

Hope that helps
