How are fish aquariums made?

This is a fascinating site. Not a commercial tank. It is a step by step guide on how to build a 1700 gallon shark tank in your basement. With pictures *smile*

Well, the tank is made out of glass or acrylic glued together…

But an aquarium is more the whole set up… and its made with allot of patience and allot of $$$$$$.

    Think about it:
    tank: $120
    hood: $60 (with artificial plants)
    stand: $60
    gravel: $40
    decor:$75
    air pump: $35
    filter: $50
    fish: $50 or more
medicine for each single parameter and illness that fish get: $60 or more.

And there you go: $550 and you have yourself a very simple aquarium.

If you want a planted aquarium, salt aquarium or reef… then it's a whole different story..

    Take care
